Yes! All of our properties offer free on-site parking with ample space to accommodate multiple vehicles. Whether you're arriving with family, friends, or a large group, you’ll have convenient and secure parking right at your stay.

What are you check-in and check-out times?

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. This allows our team to thoroughly prepare the property for your stay.

Each Big Sky Barnhouse is packed with one-of-a-kind features designed for unforgettable group getaways. Depending on the location, you’ll find everything from indoor basketball courts, private pickleball setups, and 2-hole golf courses to golf simulators and full arcades. Many homes include slides built right into the layout (yes—actual slides!), fully stocked kitchens for big family meals, and even a beach basement with wall-to-wall sand. Some properties sit on open farmland, offering total peace, privacy, and room to spread out. Whether you’re celebrating grandma’s 90th or just looking to reconnect with your favorite people, each stay is designed for real connection, comfort, and a little bit of magic.

Can I host an event at the property?

Small family events, milestone birthdays, bachelorette, bachelor gatherings or creative retreats are welcome—but let’s talk first! Reach out with your event details so we can make sure the space fits your vision.

Are the kitchens fully stocked?

Yes! All of our kitchens come stocked with the essentials: pots, pans, utensils, dishware, basic spices, baking sheets, coffee makers, and more. Just bring your groceries and favorite recipes—we’ve got the rest covered.

Yes, each property has Wi-Fi. It’s perfect for streaming, emails, and remote work.

How big are the properties?

Our homes are made for connection and some can host up to 20–40 guests comfortably. With bunk rooms, large dining areas, and multiple lounge spaces, there’s plenty of room for everyone to relax and spread out.

Are firepits and grills available?

Yes! All of our properties have propane grills. We provide the propane and grilling utensils. For fire pits, we offer either propane or firewood, depending on the property. Cozy nights around the fire? Always.

Rent your very own private helicopter that picks up/drops off right on our property's very own helipad through our exclusive partnership with Lake Superior Helicopters!

2. 🏁 ATV RENTAL ($500/reservation)

AVAILABLE AFTER JUNE 15TH!

Our barn sits on 10 acres with private ATV/hiking trails. Rent our on site Polaris during your stay for an additional $500/reservation.

Waiver must be signed before access to ATV is provided. Must be 25+ to rent.

3. 🐴 ON-SITE HORSE EXPERIENCE ($300/hr)

Our barn neighbors a private horse farm and the owner offers our guests exclusive access to tour the farm and interact with the horses and donkeys!

The experience is $300/hr with up to 4 people at a time. An adult must be part of the group of 4, but otherwise you can swap out who is in the group and take turns so everyone can see the horses.

The owner of the farm needs a 2 week+ advance notice if you'd like to reserve time with her and the experience is subject to her availability.

Note our property goes right up to the horse farm so the horses can still be viewed from our property's driveway for free, but petting the horses is only included as part of the paid experience.

“Our family of 26 thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. We had 15 grand kids, 12 and under, all the way up to a 91 year old. Everyone enjoyed their time at the Barn and kept busy the whole time. The kids were worn out and slept great both nights. They were running up the stairs to go down the slide over and over. The kitchen had most everything we needed. There were several cabinets full of glasses. With 15 grand kids we were too afraid we would break them so didn't plan on using them... but I finally realized they were plastic so we did use them. 😊 We all agree that we had the most fun we ever had as a family. If you search Face Book (Big Sky Barnhouse in Cloquet) you should be able to see my daughter Heidi's, short video of our weekend there. Big smiles throughout the video. There is already talk of going back next year.”
