Great location and stay!

The location of Dylan's place was absolutely perfect—close to everything we needed and in a really convenient, safe area. That said, the house itself is in serious need of attention. It’s an older property, which is fine and part of the appeal, but there hasn't been enough upkeep to make it comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom doors were either impossible to close or required significant force to open and shut. It felt like the whole place needed a deep clean—there were visible stains on the bed sheets, hairs in the tub, and mysterious splatters on the bathroom walls, which was pretty off-putting. With a bit of maintenance and a stronger focus on cleanliness, this could be a fantastic stay. But in its current state, it's hard to recommend.

Great place and location. Kitchen and bathroom were small but functional. But overall a lovely experience.

Had a great stay at the Green Gatsby! The place was exactly as advertised—clean, stylish, and super comfortable. The location is perfect—walkable to tons of restaurants and bars, and really close to everything in South End. Parking was easy, which is always a plus. Would definitely stay here again!

My family loved staying here! The property is thoughtfully designed and had great amenities. We appreciated the board games and the well-equipped kitchen. Fantastic location in the beautiful Dilworth neighborhood steps away from a great pizza place and also a grocery store. The beds are so comfortable — especially the king bed — I checked the mattress brand and want to buy one! Definitely recommend.

Our stay was great! The house is tucked in a neighborhood just a short walk away from multiple food choices along with a store. The house was adorable, clean, and beautiful. Sydney was a great host and answered promptly, flexible with check-in times, and very informative about the check-in process.

We enjoyed our stay. It was in a great location, centrally located to everything. The house was very nice, except the bathroom was pretty old and in rough shape. There were also quite a few stink bugs throughout the home that we kept finding. The original check in instructions said there was a half bathroom on the ground floor however there wasnt so unsure if we were sent the wrong guide. There wasn't any check out instructions provided and we left the house early the morning. It wasnt until closer to the check out time that we received a message about taking out the trash but it was too late at that point. We enjoyed the stay but unsure if we would book this again if we were to return.

The Good: Location was amazing. Walk to great eats and coffee. Cute neighborhood. The Bad: - Bugs in all rooms. A storm just rolled through, so I’m sure that had an effect, but there were ants in the bath, beetles in every room and killed 3 cockroaches in 2 days. - Bookcase covered the half bath they claimed was downstairs, so just know it’s 1 full bath only. - WiFi was out all weekend (storm again which is understandable). I alerted the owners and they did not care really. The Ugly: There was an overwhelming smell of mildew as soon as you walked in. Vents were BLACK with mold spores on the wall around vents. I did alert the owners, and they did offer a refund if I left, but it was too late in the day to find a new place. No discount was given. I wish I could post photos on the review, it was gross. Overall this place was kind of a dump. The smell, vents and bugs guarantee I’d never stay here again.

Super cute place! Great location! Close to restaurants!

We had a great stay at this cool place. There was an issue with one of the TVs that was remedied quickly. Host and co-host were all helpful!

Perfect location! Quick response time to difficulty getting in. Initially declined compensation for the sewage filled tiolet in 1/2 bathroom. They were aware of the bathroom issue just chose to block the door to the bathroom with a low bookcase. Disappointed because we've never had an issue with a rental. If they did some maintenance, fixed the toilet and steps leading into the home this would be the perfect rental.

Ashley was very accommodating for us and our early check in request. The location was perfect and across the street from a few great places to eat. Very close to the city. We had a few questions and Ashley was extremely responsive and was able to quickly help! Would stay again!

This place is adorable. It is tucked away in a cute neighborhood. You enter through the back entrance into a small but well organized kitchen. There is a small shaded deck with a table and chairs just outside the kitchen door. The furniture in the living area is cute and comfortable. There are two nice bedrooms upstairs. The bed was amazing. I always have issues when I sleep somewhere new, but this mattress was perfect. This was a perfect stay. Thanks!

We had a comfortable and pleasant stay and really enjoyed the Dilworth neighbourhood. The Green Gatsby is very conveniently located near to the Food Lion grocery store too which was useful for picking up supplies.

This was an affordable but very cute place to stay in an amazing location— we wanted to feel like locals, and we did. The place is on the older side but that’s to be expected in a historic neighborhood. The place was well equipped, stylish and homey. We are very happy with our stay and have recommended it to our local friends as a great option for overflow guests!

Great place in an even better neighborhood

My two college best friends and I were visiting Charlotte for the first time and this Airbnb was perfect for a girls weekend! The host was very friendly and responsive and she was even flexible with us arriving early. The location of the Airbnb was ideal - located in a friendly, lovely neighborhood, right across the street, you could find food, coffee, a grocery store, etc, and we were no more than a ~10 minute drive from all of our planned activities. We would definitely book again!

We had a great stay! The house is very convenient and in a nice neighborhood and the price was very reasonable for what it offered. I do feel like there are a few things that could be improved upon. Ie, there are no hooks in the bathroom to hang a towel and towel bar looked like it was missing. Outside entrances were in need of cleaning-dead plants, sticks and mud by back door. And lastly, it is ONLY one bath. The half bath downstairs has a toilet with no running water and was blocked off with a bookshelf so clearly not meant to be accessed. These really are small items that could easily be fixed and we would recommend the property but you should be aware that it is one bath, not 1.5.

Perfect location - close to gyms, restaurants and grocery stores. Loved waking up in the morning to the birds chirping, and starting my day grabbing a coffee at Not Just Coffee and heading out for a walk around Dilworth. The spot was super cute and clean, and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Dilworth!

nice place to stay in a quiet safe neighborhood

Ashleys place is in a convenient location for the Dilworth neighborhood- right next to coffee and other stores! It’s got lots of cute decor and the basics are covered. The actual house is older than the photos portray though and pretty noisy at night. Needs a bit of love and some minor amenity changes like some hooks for towels and a full length mirror somewhere.

Cute little townhome for a short stay in a great location.

As a ‘1920s Great Gatsby’ getaway, this duplex has a lot of potential! The newly remodeled kitchen (new fridge/stove/dishwasher)and is quite a small space. and had the minimal basics for cooking. The living room and dining room were adequate although the chairs were not the most comfortable. The king size bed was comfortable and the bathroom, not renovated and quite small in keeping with the unit, was adequate with a plenty of hot water and water pressure. The location is ideal for seeing Charlotte and close to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. That said, Park Rd provided a steady stream of traffic noise unfortunately (and we didn’t have any open windows during our stay). The back deck, although billed as a ‘turfed patio,’ was covered with leaves so deep that we couldn’t enjoy it and the table/chairs needed to be washed to be usable. Of some concern are the un-mortared, stacked bricks the make up the step to the patio as that could cause someone to fall.

Amazing stay! Unit was very comfortable. Ashley and team were responsive and helpful. Dilworth is such a beautiful neighborhood. Tree-lined streets and family-friendly. Highly recommend!

The location of this place was great. The neighborhood is beautiful. The rental itself was sufficient and well equipped. The decor was nice. Could use some maintenance on the outside back porch entrance as well as some little details inside. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house so it served our needs well.

This location was great for us . We walked across the street for breakfast and coffee ! There was even a grocery across the street. The place was also perfect for what we needed for our stay .

Our stay was fantastic. We were able to walk to workout, to have lunch, and shop. We were going to a concert and the host even offered for me to use her clear bag if I couldn’t find one in town that day. We met her briefly (on site to care for the other property) and she was very friendly. The place itself fit our needs perfectly. Super clean, great parking. This was my first time to Charlotte (not the first time for my friend or my husband) but will definitely be back frequently and would definitely consider staying again,

The pictures was very accurate & Ashley was very friendly and helpful and very responsive with any questions I had about the house. The house was clean and neat , there are 3 food places walking distance from the house.

Great walkable Dilworth location, comfy bed, stylish decor. But in tiny half bath, knees hit wall when seated. Uneven stairs a bit tricky. Partial window coverings in main floor did not allow privacy when sitting in the room at night.

My daughter and I were visiting Charlotte, NC and chose a different Airbnb originally. The pictures were VERY misleading and the home was DIRTY. I saw Ashley's place while scrambling to find a new place to go for the week and messaged her directly. She was quick to respond, empathetic and helpful. Her place not only was CLEAN, but she got us in early and we immediately felt safe, comfortable and at home. We didn't want to leave! Thank you Ashley!!!!

We loved our stay! It’s the perfect neighborhood and location to do all that you want in Charlotte! The home was perfect for my family (4 of us total).

Ashley’s home was just as described. It was an older home, but a remodeled feel. Very comfortable furniture and bedding. The only issue we had was the AC upstairs. It was not functioning and we were only left with a floor fan for usage.

This is a great place to stay when visiting downtown Charlotte. It is in a great neighborhood with a lot of restaurants close by. Ashley gave us very detailed instructions for everything we would need and checkin-in/out couldn't have been easier. Would highly recommend.

Ashley was very responsive to any of my texts. I did have to reach out to her for check in instructions but she responded quickly. My only real issue, other than a few things missing that were in the listing, is the front door. The door doesn’t close with a tight fit. You can see light coming in all the way around the door. The deadbolt needs to fit more securely. I realize it’s an older home and a safe neighborhood but another deadbolt should be installed that fits better. Ashley was very gracious to let us check out a few hours later than the 10 am checkout which was extremely helpful. Overall, it’s a charming home if you like older homes.

My friends and I stayed here while we were in Charlotte for a girls weekend and would definitely recommend to others! The neighborhood felt very safe and had great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The house is definitely still a work in progress (downstairs bathroom is still being used for storage) but overall the space was well kept, clean, and homey. Definitely a good stay!

Really loved this find! Unfortunately, we didn't get to take advantage of the walkability as much as we wanted to due to rain but lots of cute places nearby. Cozy place. Looked like the pictures. Beds were super comfortable.

I could check in early, which was great. The place was in a perfect location – Dilworth. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! All in all, it was a great few days at the Green Gatsby.

This was a lovely spot for a couple of days in Charlotte! Everything was as described, and the rooms were large with comfy beds. It’s a good place if you’re not familiar with the city and want to explore centrally on foot. The listing amenities mentioned a washer and dryer, but the unit doesn’t have them; it wasn’t a major thing for me but worth noting. Altogether, a really great stay.

Great area to stay with restaurants right across the street. The neighborhood is cute, and we enjoyed running to Freedom Park and on the greenway.

Beautiful, comfortable home! One small issue: the back door lock key pad suddenly stopped working but Ashley's immediate response made it a nonissue. She came to check lock and replaced batteries at a convenient time for both of us. The beds were extremely comfortable - great night's sleep every night. Neighborhood was upscale 'suburban' although we were in the city. Grocery store, coffee shops, pizza joints, and three great pubs/bars - two with food - all a two minute walk down the street. I would highly recommend Ashley's home. She clearly takes great pride as a host, and truly wants her guests to be happy.

Great location and nice details/decor in Dilworth! Great location right across the street from excellent coffee shop and smoothie shop and very close to South End. Very cute decor and details in living room, kitchen and bedrooms. There is one bathroom which is fine but since the house is older there isn’t much sink space and it’s a little run down. Note - The place was a little cold despite adjusting the thermostat and drafty as the front door has a gap even when locked. Also be careful on the stairs - uneven.

Amazing stay!

Pros: Aesthetic is nice and it’s in a great location. Plenty of room for parking and beds were nice. Cons: The building is older and the foundation clearly raised up some over the years. The bedroom doors can’t be shut and the stairs are off on the top and bottom. The bathroom soap was literally watered down…rubbed us in the wrong way. These things may not be a big deal to some but made for a lesser experience for us.

Wonderful Airbnb experience! The neighborhood was great for walking our dog and the location was great for driving to nearby food and breweries. Beautiful home in a very nice neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our stay here. This place is in a great location and the decor is exactly as pictured. The home was clean and the beds were comfy. Upon checking in the host did let us know that the weekly pest control had just been completed. We did see a few tiny ants coming from the bathroom window, but nothing major that would cause alarm. The home looks to have the original windows which are apart of the charm. The host was responsive and gave suggestions on things to do in the area. I would recommend to others and stay again.

Ashley's unit was a PERFECT location in Dilworth. Easy walk to coffee, restaurants, wine bars, groceries, etc. and a very short trip to get to South End or Uptown. She was incredibly responsive. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked.

Great location. Could easily walk to lots of places. It's in between Freedom Park and South End, so if you don't mind a walk, you can get to even more locations. Beds were comfortable. Ashley provided for a wonderful stay and was very communicative and supportive.

Ashley made the check in and out so easy! It is such a cute house perfect for a weekend in Charlotte! We enjoyed our walk through the neighborhood to get to our day of brewery hopping! She left us water and an extra fan too, to accommodate that summer heat! We will definitely be back!

As a fellow vacation rental owner, I have a hard time giving nothing but 5 stars but after booking this property based on all 5 stars reviews I also feel it’s appropriate to tell the truth for future guests too. There were several issues that hopefully the host will address but my biggest complaint would be communication. Shortly after checking in I realized there was no hair dryer so I was unable to shower before going out to dinner. I messaged the host at around 5pm asking if there was one, in case I was just missing it. To my surprise, the host did not respond until 9am the next morning. It’s a good thing we didn’t have issues getting into the house or any other major concerns, bc they would have gone unanswered until the next day. As an owner myself I can’t imagine not answering messages on check in day. We politely informed the host of other issues we found, which I always appreciate especially in private messages, but instead of saying thanks for letting me know or I’m so sorry about that, every response was blaming someone else. The hair dryer was the previous guest’s fault which she accused them of stealing and would be going after them for the money, the filthy filter was the HVAC People’s fault and the gigantic spider found on my pillow was something they had never heard of before (despite me reading it in the most recently posted review). The property is in a great location and has a lot of potential but the owners responses or lack of response were really off putting for me.

Very cozy stay!

Okay, there are a few things to say about this house. I was very skeptical as I never stayed in an Airbnb with very little number of ratings (only 5 people left a rating). The house was decorated nicely. It’s in a nice location but be ready to hear cars consistently driving by as it’s very close to a main road. I honestly think I’m the first person to be in this Airbnb (yes, even though there are reviews) or either someone didn’t stay in it for a while because I walked into a spider web in the bedroom and the water came out brown in the bathroom sink. This is very odd considering it had “bookings” before I checked in…I had to bend to take a shower in fear that the top part of my body would be exposed due to a missing curtain for the bathroom window. I’m currently pregnant so this was very uncomfortable. I did reach out to one of the ladies and she said she would bring a window covering…the next day. Oh, forgot to mention I took a shower with a trail of ants in the tub and bathroom. This made me paranoid about being bitten in my sleep with the spider web in the bedroom and ants in the bathroom. I ended up leaving a day early and didn’t get refunded for all of these issues. The people in charge of customer service are nice and responsive (well, until I asked for a refund), and I never leave bad reviews BUT these are honest things I wish I knew before booking this place. This place has the potential to be nice with better cleaning and maintenance issues being taken care of.

Great location, walking distance to several areas

This duplex is in a wonderful neighbor with good restaurants and bars nearby. The beds were comfy and the parking was easy.

This property is awesome! The house is spacious, the location is walkable to so many restaurants, and Ashley is super responsive and helpful! There are two desks making it ideal for work from home and two parking spots for you and a guest. 10/10 would recommend this property or any of Ashley’s other properties because of how awesome she and her team were!

The pictures are quite accurate and they were great at communicating with any issues we had. The place was very clean. It was everything I expected from a great Airbnb.
